“Can we do something?”
“Hey, are you listening?”
“Listen to meeee~”
“Queen of the Nooorth, this isn’t funny anymore!”
You poked Mathias between his brows. “Shut it Dane.” You muttered, turning to the next page of your book. “But this is so boring!” Undaunted by your boyfriend’s behaviour, you simply sighed, growling a bit when he changed his position again. Once he’d flipped onto his back, he pouted and snuck a glance at you.
The two of you were lying on your bed, which was pretty small. Despite this Mathias had still squeezed in beside you, insisting that you use him to lie on. After ruffling his hair, blushing and saying ‘no’, you’d settled down with your book.
It wasn’t your fault that Mathias had just turned up out of the blue! The moment he was incessantly ringing the doorbell you’d just gotten to the climax of your book, so there was no way you were putting it down for him.
“Boooring!” He continued, shifting up and down slightly so the bed rocked along with his movements. When you glared at him, he grinned. Well that is, until you flicked his forehead. “Why did you come in the first place then?” You asked, your eyes skimming over the printed words. The blond pushed himself up on his elbows and looked down at you from his perch.
“I came to see you of course!” He grinned and dropped onto your back, nuzzling between your shoulder blades. “Stop that.” You complained, glancing over your shoulder with pink dusted over your cheeks. “Never.” A cheeky smile on his face, he rubbed his feet together. “You cold?”
Nodding sheepishly, he blinked as you placed your own feet over his. Even if they were smaller than his by a long shot, they were quite warm and you cupped your feet around his. “Better?” You asked, turning your attention back to your book, now he wouldn’t have that.
Sliding underneath you and on top of your book, he wrapped his arms around you and pressed a kiss to your lips. Then to your jaw, your forehead, your nose and lastly your lips once again. “Now it’s my turn to get your attention.”
Nudging his forehead with your own, you closed your eyes and sighed. “You’re such a kid, you know that?”
After stealing another kiss, he grinned. “Only when it comes to you (Y/n).” He murmured, burying his nose into the crook of your neck then kissing and nipping the skin there. “S-stop! Tha-that tickles!”
He blew cold air onto the spot with a devilish smirk on his face, his face lighting up when you broke down in giggles. “I love it when you laugh.” The way he said that so softly made you look up at him. The expression on his face was so heartwarming, he was looking at you with such adoration and love it was unmistakeable.
“Then will you promise to always make me laugh?” You inquired, still chuckling slightly. “Yeah.”
“Swear it.” After your order, he sat up and left you in his lap as he held up his hand, the other placed on his heart.
“I, Mathias Kohler, the King of the North, swear to always make (y/n) (l/n), the Queen of the North and of my heart, to laugh so hard she cries tears of happiness.” He attacked you with a hug when he’d finished his oath, kissing all over your face as he crowed in delight.
You couldn’t stop yourself, you ruffled his blond, gravity-defying hair and giggled as he continued his antics.
